2026-27 School Year Storm Recovery Update Portage Township Schools will not need to add make-up days to the 2026–27 school calendar. Additional instructional minutes built into the school year will be used to account for the days missed due to the August 11 storm.
All PTS schools receive America’s Healthiest Schools award National children’s health organization Alliance for a Healthier Generation unveiled its 2026 list of America’s Healthiest Schools, celebrating over 1,300 K-12 schools nationwide for their commitment to advancing whole child health, including each school within Portage Township Schools. PTS was awarded in the Improving Nutrition & Food Access category.
